About Course
The surgical skills training is a practically-oriented, e-learning series of courses that use a combination of e-lecture notes and videos. Each e-lecture note (article) also comes with accompanying text, talking you through the skills. Using our videos will allow you to get the first-person perspective when learning how to master basic surgical skills.
Online teaching is now known to equip and update medical practitioners with the required knowledge & skills of basic surgical skills required to begin general surgical practice for good surgical career.
Any medical doctor passionate about surgery and improving standards of care in their healthcare facility, will aptly grab this course. Using a combination of surgical experience in austere settings, web technology and story telling, our team hopes to empower, inspire and enlighten all those believing in the same vision.
Description
The Basic Surgical Skills Course is arranged in Modules (Fourteen Modules in all). Each module lasts at least two weeks and when completed is awarded a separate certificate of participation. This gives each module a semi-independent status, so each participant can have the personal freedom to construct their own lifelong learning plan, and can, when used carefully, permit them to improve their surgical career levels with a minimum of disruption to their personal life.
The interesting thing about this course is that you can study at your own pace and convenience.

- Professional Certificate in Basic Surgical Skills, PCBSS (Modules 1 & 2)
- Professional Diploma in Basic Surgical Skills, PDBSS (Any two Modules with PCBSS as a requirement)
- Executive Diploma in Basic Surgical Skills, EDBSS (Any three Modules; custom-made program dedicated to executive professionals)
